Forever a midwesterner at heart, I now call New York City home. Following a short lived dream of being a pastry chef, I decided to pursue a career in theater and graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in stage management with an emphasis in nonprofit administration.
In 2014, I began my professional career in the arts and started as an assistant stage manager on a production of A Year with Frog & Toad at the Coterie Theater in Kansas City. After discovering my love for theater, I went on to stage manage over 40 productions all over the Midwest. Some of the companies I have worked for include The Oklahoma City Philharmonic, The Beijing Normal Experimental Dance Company, and Music Theatre Kansas City. I stage-managed the regional premieres of Pasek & Paul’s James & The Giant Peach and School of Rock. Additionally, I have worked with notable artists such as Elizabeth Stanley, Nikki Renée Daniels, Amy Hall Gardner, Pasek & Paul, Kalen Allen, and Jamy Meek.

From 2017 to 2019, I served as a Recruitment Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma’s Helmerich School of Drama. During my time with the school, I helped recruit, audition, and welcome over 150 new students into the University’s theatrical B.F.A programs. After moving to New York City, I began working as the Assistant Director of Operations for Abramson Brothers Incorporated- a commercial real estate investment firm in midtown Manhattan. Here, I further developed my HR skills and served as a property manager and the supervisor for 50 union building employees. From managing vacation schedules to assisting with payroll, and interviewing and on-boarding new hires, I gained in-depth experience in New York City HR practices and strategies.

Amidst the chaos of the pandemic, I made a full transition back to the arts. For the past few years I have managed programming for IndieSpace - a nonprofit providing permanent real estate solutions and funding opportunities to the independent theater community, the Indie Theater Fund, The League of Independent Theater, and several other NYC arts advocacy organizations to develop and launch several new artist centric support programs. Some of the programs I've led include; The Big Learn, long-term anti-racism training for artists, an Emergency Mental Health Micro Grant Program through IndieSpace, an AAPI Emergency Transportation fund in partnership with AAPAC, and Community Care Sessions through Kyoung's Pacific Beat. The goal of all this work was to 1. fill gaps in support currently being offered to artists, particularly underrepresented and indie theater artists throughout the pandemic and 2. Radically disrupt the currently oppressive theatrical industry practices and barriers surrounding funding and access.
And now... I work for the circus! I recently joined the team at Spiegelworld, an immersive entertainment company, as the Internal Events Manager and I'm loving every creative second of cultivating epic experiences with my team.
In my free time, I offer Consulting and Project Management services through my company Studio B. You can learn more about my services here!
I am also proud to continue my arts reform work by serving as a board of IndieSpace and a member of the Curation Team at Theater in Asylum.
